View Instagram Stories in three steps

  1. Paste the current Instagram username or public profile link into the search above. Use the account handle, not its display name.
  2. Tap Search Stories and wait for the result. Open an available photo or video tile to watch it on this page.
  3. Use Download to save a returned Story. You can open other tiles from the same results without another profile search.

Find stories by username

Use the account handle, such as @username, rather than the display name shown above its biography. You can also paste a profile URL. Check spelling and punctuation before continuing: similar-looking handles can belong to different people.

When a story is unavailable

An account may be public without having an active story. Content may also have expired, been removed, or become restricted. A temporary loading problem does not establish that the account is private. Check the account handle and try again later rather than sharing your Instagram credentials.

Active Stories, saved Highlights or a download?

Choose Stories when you want to view the account’s currently available story media. Choose Highlights for collections saved on the profile; they are requested separately. If you want a local copy rather than just viewing the media in your browser, use the Story Downloader instructions. None of these choices retrieves a private archive.

If Stories do not appear

Check the current username first. A private profile, a profile that cannot be found, no active Stories and a daily search limit are different results. Follow the message shown beside the search. For a temporary error, try later; do not keep sending the same request.

Continue in Telegram when it suits you
